The Free Syrian Army launched two battles in Dara’a and destroyed a tank in Lattakia

Regime forces attacked a field hospital with vacuum missiles in Dara’a

Southern Region

In Damascus, a number of regime soldiers were killed in fierce clashes by the Free Syrian Army in Jobar neighbourhood; sporadic clashes were reported in Tishreen neighbourhood.

Regime forces used heavy artillery to bombard Jobar, al-Essali, Borsaid area, and the industrial complex of al-Qadam. Regime troops caried out a search raid in Ruken el-Dein neighbourhood. Several air strikes were reported in Jobar.

In Damascus countryside, the Free Syrian Army in al-Moleha mortared regime forces during fierce clashes in the surroundings of the town. FSA revolutionaries attacked regime troops in the surroundings of Jaramana with Katyusha rockets. Sporadic clashes were reported in Daraya.

Regime aircraft launched numerous air strikes on al-Moleha and Douma along with attacking Daraya with barrel bombs. Regime forces used artillery and tanks to shell al-Zabadani and al-Qusor farms of Khan al-sheih.

In Quneitra countryside, regime aircraft launched an air strike on the village of Ghadir al-Bustan.

In Dara’a, the Free Syrian Army started a new battle named al-Khandaq Martyrs aimed at taking control over the al-Manshiya neighbourhood which is the only regime premises left in Dara’a Al Balad. The battle started in the morning with fierce clashes in the vicinity of the neighbourhood causing casualties among regime soldiers while also targeting regime military points with tank and mortar shelling prior to blowing up regime bases after having dug tunnels and filling them with explosives. The significance of the al-Manshiya neighbourhood lays in the fact that it overlooks Brigade 132 separated from it only by Wadi Al Zaidy area. Thus, by taking control over this neighbourhood, Dara’a al-Balad becomes completely freed opening the road to Dara’a al-Mahatta. On the other hand, FSA also started a new battle in the city of Nawa named al-Fatihein. The objective of this operation is to open the road to Nawa city by taking control of Tal Um Horan, the Tank battalion of al-Hajjajiya and the al-Madakha barricade. The FSA mortared regime military points in Tal Um Horan achieving direct hits and declaring capture of the Tank Battalion following fierce clashes. Fierce clashes were reported in the surroundings of Nawa; the FSA killed several regime soldiers and destroyed a tank.

Regime aircraft shelled the field hospital in the city Jasim of Dara’a with vacuum missiles leading to the complete destruction of the building. Numerous people were killed in addition to many wounded, mostly in critical condition. It is worth mentioning that the field hospital of Jasim is the only place that provides medical services to the people in the city. Regime forces have either seized or destroyed all medical facilities in the city since the beginning of the revolution. Regime helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Nawa, Enkkhil, Nafia, Saida, Um al-Miazen, Bosra al-Sham, and Tafas.

Central Region

In Homs, fierce clashes broke out between the Free Syrian Army and regime troops in the city of al-Rastan; regime forces attacked the city with artillery, heavy machineguns and mortars in addition to several air strikes.

In Hama, FSA revolutionaries shelled regime troops in Tal Malh barricade with artillery and mortars. Sporadic clashes were reported in different areas of the countryside, most notably in Mourek.

Regime forces attacked Kafer Zita, al-Latamneh with barrel bombs along with artillery shelling on al-Shaliot village.

In Lattakia, the Free Syrian Army thwarted an attempt by regime forces backed by Hezbollah militia to infiltrate into the surroundings of Tshalma Summit and al-Nabein area of Kassab. The FSA attacked regime forces in the Summit surroundings with machineguns and destroyed a tank with a Konkurs rocket. FSA revolutionaries mortared regime troops and National Defence militia bases in al-Samra village amid clashes that led to the killing of several regime soldiers. Regime forces shelled the city of Kassab and the town of al-Nabein.

Northern Region

In Aleppo, fierce clashes between the FSA and regime forces took place in Jamiat al-Zahra’a neighbourhood; a number of soldiers were killed during clashes in al-Sheikh Najjar. FSA revolutionaries in Karm al-Trab targeted a building housing regime troops killing several soldiers.

Regime helicopters dropped barrel bombs on Handarat road, Bazeh square in the old city, and al-Malah area in Heritan. Regime aircraft launched several air strikes on the villages of Babika and al-Jina along with al-Malah area in Heritan. A car bomb detonated at the Bab al-Salama border crossing with Turkey leading to numerous casualties among civilians.

In Idlib, FSA revolutionaries attacked the Abu Ala’a and al-Khazanat barricades of Khan Sheikhoun amid clashes against regime troops in the surroundings of the city.

Numerous people were wounded following regime air strikes on the city of Maarat al-Nouman.  Regime forces bombed Abu Adhour town with heavy artillery and shelled Khan Sheikhoun.

In Deir Ezzor, fierce clashes took place in different areas of the countryside between the Free Syrian Army and ISIS militants.
Regime forces shelled the liberated neighbourhoods with heavy weapons.

In Raqqa, ISIS militiamen blew up the shrine of Ouweis al-Qarni in the city.
